# 제2장 · 이름의 철학과 다섯 기둥의 전경

하나의 이름, 한 벌의 생존 조건, 다섯 기둥

VITA 는 라틴어 '생명'에서 왔습니다. 프로토콜의 맥락에서 이 이름은 디지털 시스템이 살아 있기 위한 최소 조건을 엄격히 정의합니다 — 가치의 원천, 신원의 경계, 전달의 경로, 그리고 오래 이어지는 힘을 동시에 갖추어야 합니다. 네 조건은 네 글자에 대응하며, 하나라도 없으면 그 시스템은 '살아 있다'고 할 수 없습니다:

다섯 기둥 가운데 BTC 수익 엔진은 가치의 주선에 자리합니다. 앞의 네 기둥이 '어떻게 자라는가'에 답한다면, 다섯 번째 기둥은 자란 성과를 '무엇으로 계산하고 어디에 가라앉힐 것인가'를 정합니다. 이 주선은 서장의 신념의 출발점에서 종장의 최종 정의까지 이어집니다.
