# Chapter 1 · Model Overview

The full journey of a river

The VITA economic model is a river designed end to end: capital enters at the headwaters of genesis stacking, does work along the channels of identity activation, dual-pool rewards and the Strategy Vault, and finally settles as bedrock of Bitcoin and as the fire of burning. Interlocking modules form the whole, and the volume and direction of every stretch of the channel are governed by smart contracts:

| Module                                                                     | Core function                                                                              |
| -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| VITA Token | Carrier of protocol value, governance credential and settlement asset |
| Genesis Stacking                          | Issues 52,500,000 VITA along a hundred-tier bonding curve                                  |
| Genesis Nodes | 5% of supply — unlocked not by the passage of time but by the growth of value |
| Tower Crystal | Confirms identity, releases initial VITA and forms the base of contribution hashpower |
| Tower Network | Records relationships, stacking scale and network contribution in a fractal structure |
| Network Rewards | 2% of supply, 4,200,000 VITA, distributed by weight once genesis stacking ends |
| BTC Reward Pool | 60% of activation gas buys BTC automatically; distributed by weight S after stacking ends |
| Initial Liquidity | 40% of activation gas, paired with matching VITA, forms initial liquidity |
| Nine-Tier Acceleration and Builder Rights | Amplifies the returns of real builders through tier bonuses and the V1–V9 rank system |
| Deflationary Burn | Real-time burning and daily clearing burns run in parallel, steadily compressing the float |
| Ecosystem Pool | 50% of supply, 105,000,000 VITA, released over the long term once the set condition is met |
| VITA DAO | Governs future upgrades, risk parameters and ecosystem integrations |

How to read it: every stage the capital passes through does two things at once — it vests an entitlement for the participant and deposits a public reserve for the system. Individual return and collective foundation thicken together in the same channel, and that is the root of the model's durability.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://vitaprotocol.gitbook.io/vita/vita-protocol/tokenomics/chapter-1-model-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
